Glossybox November 2011

So I received my November Glossybox... My first impressions was where is the make up?! I do like make up and in most of the boxes you do get at least 1 make up product.  I think this months make up product  are the nail wraps.  Ok they are ok and are normally £6 but they are not something I would go out and buy.

I am very impressed by the FULL SIZE moisturiser I got from Monu - a brand I have never heard of.  At first I was put off by the geranium scent. After applying it however it is amazing.  It has a waxy texture if that makes sense and absorbs into you skin and seems to lock in the moisture.  I have been using it the last few days and love it.

The remaining products are so so.  The perfume sample is nice but maybe a bit strong for me.  The bath salts and hand cream are good and will be used.

I unfortunately seen post regarding this box on Facebook before I opened mine which I think dampened my spirits a bit. Next monthI will wait til I open mine before watching or reading reviews.

At the end of the day it is a sample box and for £10 plus postage you will always get your money's worth.  Its really just the excitement of getting a lovely wrapped package with a surprise inside that does it for me.

Lauren Luke Brushes Half Price!!

So I thought I would share this with you as I only found out as a notification on Facebook...
Lauren Luke's line of professional brushes have be reduced in price as of today.  I am not sure if the price reduction is permanent or a special offer so I ordered some tonight!

Laurens videos were one of the first makeup tutorial videos I watched on YouTube and I have been following her since.  She is probably one of most sincere Gurus out there.

I had been meaning to buy some of these brushes for a while.  I will post a review when I get them hopefully by the end of the week.

I got my first GlossyBox today. It was a great surprise after a crappy day at work :-) This lovely box sitting waiting to be opened..

Best Haircut Ever!

Well today feeling very ill with the cold I took myself off for a bargain haircut.   I left the salon feeling a million dollars!  Since having a baby I don't go as often as I want or need to!

Any way I bought a voucher from KGB deals (like Groupon) and got a cut, blowdry and Morrocan oil treatment all for £11!!!

My hair has never looked so good! I left the salon swishing my hair as I walked!  When I look at it,  it looks like model hair!

I also bought a little bottle of the Macadamia hair oil which is amazing and smells great!  I think the voucher is still valid if anyone else want to buy one:

The hairdresser was lovely and did a fab job..  I would go back and pay full price for a haircut there..

Book Bug

So I am an avid reader.  I have to admit when looking for books I do judge a book by it cover. Wrong I know! I have just started When God Was a Rabbit.  It's Probably the best book I have picked up in a long time!  I am having to stop myself from reading it all in one sitting.... It's just one of those books you want to read it all to the end but you know you will feel disappointed when it is over.  So I am restricting myself to a few chapters a night :-)

ELF Cosmetics Show and Tell!

Today I got another fab box of goodies from ELF.  I used to think nothing of spending £20 on a mascara.  Since my little ball of life has taken over my purse(well he's so cute and I want him to wear nice things!) I have had to economise.

I have ordered a few times form ELF and firstly you always receive it mega fast.  Also it is mega cheap!

All the stuff in the box cost me £20 including postage! I did have a discount code which gave me 33% off. They frequently offer these codes and if you join their page on Facebook you always find out first.

I am a big Bare Minerals fan and I only ever use their foundations.  Their shadows and blushes are good but pricey.  So far I am impressed with the mineral products from ELF considering the cost of each eyeshadow was £2.01 and the blush £2.35!

I am away to play about with them and will let you know how they work out!

I love living in Edinburgh! Especially when the festival is on.  A simple walk around town turns into an entertainment overload.  This year however I will just be sticking to wandering around watching the street acts.  A new baby is taking up my evenings!

I am also excited after receiving my Boudoir Prive Box on Saturday and trying all the lovely stuff that came with it!  What girl would not like getting a lovely box sent every month with pretty stuff in it??!!
