Review - Superdrug Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser

I love hot cloth cleansers. What can I say I jumped on the Liz Earle bandwagon with everyone else but it is expensive.
This little number from Superdrug's Naturally Radiant range kinda looks like a bit of a knock off. It boasts natural ingredients and even has a similar style of scent although stronger. If you don't like really fragranced skin care then this is not for you though.
After a few uses I am really impressed. And at only £5.99 it's a bargain. It also comes with a muslin cloth which is not the softest but does the job.
You may want to remove eye make up first although it is able to remove it and did not hurt my sensitive eyes. You do end up staining your muslin cloths if you wear waterproof mascara which is why I normally do that first.
I have normal and sometimes slightly dry skin and this left my skin feeling soft and hydrated and did not make me feel like I had to rush and put mouisturser on straight away.
I only had to used a small amount so I can also see it lasting a good month or so.
Give it a try.

Leighton Denny Treat and Colour Me Collection Review

So I seem to have a slight shopping channel obsession. :/ Just beauty products though, I am not bulk buying cleaning product or such like. Yet anyway!   You do seem to get a good deal on some items.
My most recent purchase was this Leighton Denny collection. It consists of four polishes, his fast drying top coat, a double ended treatment pen, a hand cream and a nail varnish remover sponge pot thing.
The colours are:
Totally Bedazzled - metallic pinky lilac(shown on ring finger)
Dress to Impress - candy lilac
Lovely Jubbly - teal blue
So demure - pinky nude sparkle
So the consistency and easy of application of the polishes are what downs this is a professional polish. You could get away with one thick coat or do what's right and do two thin coats. There is no clumping or streaks. The second coat always goes on smoothly.
The top coat is fab and it has a quick dry formula which make your nails feel cold on application whilst it freeze drys your nails you could say!
The treatment pen consists of a serum and a base coat treatment and although the serum felt a little thin it did moisturise my cuticles.
The hand cream is fab also. It's a 30ml tube so easy to carry around in your bag. It goes on an doesn't feel greasy which I hate about a lot of hand creams.
Finally you get one of those little pots of nail varnish remover. I love these except for removing red's which can leave a stain on your fingers. These are handy for traveling and I also like them for removing glitter polish.
All in all a great little collection for summer. Possibly all you need to take you through until Autumn. Although the price has gone up slightly remember one polish would be £11 or so so it is still a good deal! Check it out! :)

My Birthday wish list

So my hubby has asked what I would like as a gift for my birthday on the 20th.
Now I would be happy with just the satchel to be honest as it is a bargain at the moment. The iPad mini would be nice too though but I'm not expecting it!

Deborah Lippmann - Don't Tell Mama
Metallic satchel -The Cambridge Satchel Company (£75 reduced from £120)
Bellfield Fair isle Jacket £55 ASOS

Toddler demands

So my oldest boy until recently was a lovely sweet child. He has hit two now and things have changed.
Now I've read all these baby psychology books (mostly written by childless folk) so I know how his little mind has grown and what he's thinking.
He knows that to get things you have to ask. He hasn't quite grasped how the word NO works though.
No stirs up a hidden monster and the aftermath is not pleasant!
When you go out for a nice family meal and your toddler only wants to eat corn you find that kid corn and pile it on his plate. You never know you may even get to finish your food before it gets cold!

Elemis Winter Skincare Secrets Collection

I thought I would tell you my first thoughts on my awaited box from QVC that arrived this morning.

Firstly I bought this mainly for two products which I have run out of, the Pro-radiance cleanser and the Pro-Collagen marine cream. Both of these are amazing and deserve a review on their own which I will do in due course.

I have started buying a lot of my beauty products from QVC lately. I think I end up watching the show late at night when I'm feeding the bubba and I can't resist a bargain!

This collection cost £49.95 plus postage . I know this sounds pricey but I will list the products and individual prices and you will see why this is a bargain!
You get:

Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser (150ml) £29

Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (30ml) £79 for 50ml. So approx £47
Gentle Rose Exfoliator (50ml) £27
Quiet Mind Bath Elixir (300ml) £21
Skin Nourishing Shower Cream (300ml) £22
Evening Blooms Dry Body Oil (50ml) Not currently for sale separately.
plus a cosmetics bag

So in total £146 and more worth of product for £50!
So I will give all the products a little road test over the next few days and let you know how I get on.  Are you a fan of Elemis?  What is your favourite?
Until tomorrow...

So I have left it to the last minute for todays post.  Today consisted of crappy weather, toddler tantrums and non stop feeding baby. Anyway I promise to do a proper post tomorrow but in the meantime here is a picture of said toddler at the park yesterday..

Hello again.

So I seem to start blogs, get bored and quit.
I like reading blogs, infact more than newspapers and magazines but not quite as much as books.
I am a mummy now though of two boys and that's not something that you can just quit at so I thought I would attempt this again.
If anything at all it will help my maternity leave sanity!
So I will pledge to blog every day in 2013.
Who knows I may even post twice today!
If you are pledging to blog every day in 2013 too let me l know and I'll follow you..
